Where We Pass Through
This body of work traces the thresholds and margins of Norway, spaces that exist between arrival and departure, between the monumental and the everyday.
Moving from alpine terrain to coastal settlements, these photographs attend to what occupies the gaps: the narrow lane that curves between hill and home, the passage alongside a building, the transitional moment between rock and snow. Each image considers how we dwell in the intervals, how meaning accumulates in the spaces we pass through but rarely pause within.
Shot in black and white to emphasise form and the particular quality of Nordic light, the work reveals a quieter geography. These are places of suspension and possibility, back stairs, side paths, the uncertain edges where landscape meets habitation. In attending to what lies between, a more intimate understanding of place emerges, one that exists not in destinations but in the movement between them.
